Hillary Clinton: ‘I Think About What Kind Of President I Would Have Been All The Time’

Former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton revealed on Tuesday that even nearly three years after losing to President Donald Trump during the 2016 presidential election, she still constantly thinks about how things would be if she had won.

“I think about what kind of president I would have been all the time,” Clinton said during an interview with BBC Radio 4’s Mishal Husain. “I think about what I would have done. How, obviously, I would have been different. How I think I would have been a better, more successful president.”

“But look, right now we have got a campaign going on,” she continued. “We’ve got people already running, and we have to figure out how we make the case and that’s what I’m really focused on.”

The twice-failed presidential candidate bemoaned that she could have been “gutsier” while running against Trump. Clinton, who was promoting her recently released book “The Book of Gutsy Women,” further noted that she may not have been especially gutsy by avoiding the topic of Russian interference during the election.

“It’s a question that I ask myself all the time because trying to live a gusty life doesn’t mean you are always successful in doing so,” Clinton said. “And I think about the presidential campaign of 2016. I thought I was as gutsy as I could be, but I probably could have been gutsier — if I figured out a way to reveal what was happening in a more effective way.”

“You know when we talked about how the Russians were behind the theft of material, a lot of people thought, ‘What are they talking about?’ They just dismissed us in both the public and the press,” she continued. “So, could I have been gutsier in pushing that point and trying to alert people to what is going on.”

The former first lady has reportedly been considering jumping into the crowded 2020 Democratic Party presidential primary field and running for the presidency for a third time. In October, Clinton teased a possible presidential bid after Trump urged her to enter the race. However, she stated to Husain that it would be a very gusty thing to do.

“It would be very gutsy, that’s true,” Clinton said. “That’s something I think about all the time. I think a lot about what is happening in our country, around the world.”

“I try to give the best advice that I can to the candidates who are running because my goal is to help retire the current incumbent,” she continued. “I think it is imperative that our country regain its leadership and its credibility, so I’m going to do everything I can to make that happen.”

If Clinton decided to join the race, she could be jumping in as a frontrunner — a hypothetical match-up between herself and former Vice President Joe Biden in the Democratic primary showed that the two would be virtually tied. A Harvard Harris poll conducted in mid-October found that 18% of Democrats would throw their support behind Clinton, trailing Biden by only one point and within the margin of error.

Clinton famously won the popular vote in 2016 by receiving more than 2.8 million more votes than Trump, but she ultimately failed to secure the presidency after she fell far short of the required absolute majority of 270 Electoral College votes needed to win.

A perfect poster child for opioid reform. Soon people and foreign countries will be wanting their money back for promises she can’t keep by not getting elected. But the demorats are still trying to help her out of a jam.

She’s had years to demonstrate what kind of president she would’ve been-one always in some kind of scandal and making excuses when things don’t work out as planned. A memo the Clintons never got-it’s OK to be human and make mistakes, you don’t have to jail filmmakers and set up fall guys for every little thing that doesn’t work out. Go away, you go now.

Not so much a thought as a nightmare.

  • Steve says:

Gutsy, gutsier, gutsiest! Sounds more like a plug for her book than her being president. To be honest I feel sorry for Bill, being married to Hillary had to have been like living in Hell. In the end she lost the election and Trump won. Thank God the system worked otherwise the USA would probably be a war with Russia. Fail, failed, failure: the summation of Hillary’s life!!!

  • RP says:

This woman thought she had bought the election. She had the primary rigged and pulled a couple slight of hand tricks in a couple states, in order to win against Bernie. She had the Democrat voter fraud team in place, around the country trying their best to elect her.

Despite others best efforts to help her, she couldn’t pull out the win; because she didn’t try that hard to get votes and people didn’t like her. This woman is suffering from a reluctance to accept reality. I think she probably is somewhat mentally unstable. If in three years, you have come to some kind of reality; you have a problem. You can look at the expression her face and see something isn’t quite right. She is trying to convince herself, that she won and people still want her to be president. I don’t think she has a chance against Trump. She might be able to land the primary, because the Dems don’t have anyone that can get close. I think Hillary has hurt herself with her own party, because Trump has delivered on his promises. I doubt she can ever come close. How can you have a vision of a better America, when you and the previous administration did everything they could to destroy the country and sell us out?

  • RP says:

What gets me, is how everyone said she was the best qualified person for president in years. What exactly was her accomplishments? She was a senator for four years. She was Secretary of State for four or six years. That’s it.

The titles she has had, she got for being married to a sleeze bag. She went around the world meeting about every leader of every country, with her hand held out for donations to the Clinton Crime Family Foundation. She proved she couldn’t be trusted with the nation’s secrets. She committed espionage, by having her secret illegal server. She mishandled 30,000 government emails and her server was hacked several times. It was her determination not to be held accountable for her communications of criminal activity; that got her server hacked. It was the cause of the Benghazi embassy to be attacked. She and Obozo allowed those people to have no military assets to try and save the embassy staff. They wanted the people dead to cover up their illegal gunrunning operation. They committed treason trying to give weapons to our enemy and committed treason in deserting the embassy staff. Then, they had to make up their story to cover up what they had done. I wouldn’t call her accomplishments, anything to brag about.

You were pretty gutsy when you had all those people suicided aka murdered. When you literally insulted at least half the nation when you called then deplorable that was rather gutsy and shitty. When you let people die in Benghazi to have the guy who was going to speak out against you die. Something to this day you refuse to own up to your incompetence. Well honestly you intentionally let them all die so it wasn’t incompetence just your utter lack of a soul. I mean are you ever going to own up to the fact you considered the rust belt not even worth your time campaigning a factor as well? You lost because all your shady dealings came to light and people wanted nothing to do with your corrupt ass.
