7 Dead, 3 Injured In Deadly New Hampshire Motorcycle Crash

Seven lives were claimed in a tragic motorcycle crash in rural New Hampshire Friday night.

The crash occurred when the motorcyclists collided with 2016 Dodge 2500 pickup truck in a two-lane highway. The crash took place at 6:30 P.M, according to state police.

It’s tragic. It’s tragic for those involved, tragic for the families, so we’re doing our job, we’re doing our work and our thoughts are with the people who were adversely affected by this,” New Hampshire State Police Capt. Chris Vetter said, according to WMUR in Manchester, New Hampshire. “I don’t know that I’ve ever seen a crash with this much loss of life, so it’s a pretty significant accident.”

When officials arrived on the scene, the truck had caught fire and the motorcycles were shattered into pieces. Witnesses told WMUR that they sprung from their vehicles to help comfort the motorcyclists before police were able to arrive. One witness said people described the scene with people frantically calling 911 as they realized what had happened.

“Everybody got out of their car and helped, got blankets and first-aid kits,” Miranda Thompson, of Manchester said. “Everyone went into action and just helped.”

Police will continue to release additional details as the investigation continues.

“…..while they waited for the police to arrive.” What did they expect the police to do, arrest everyone that was involved in the accident ? Or shoot the dying to make sure they were dead ?

When there is an accident, call an ambulance, STUPID !

When you call the Police you ARE calling for an ambulance. Your comment really doesn’t warrant any reply, obviously your ignorant of the protocol.

A call to 911 for a crash with injuries will bring first responders of all kinds. Often police are the first public safety personnel at the scene; unless an ambulance happens to be out patrolling for medical emergencies, it usually follows bystanders and trained first responders. Most police officers are trained in emergency first aid. The civilians with blankets and first aid supplies turned to and rendered aid. It says “before the police were able to arrive.” I was a Corpsman, and a trauma kit is always in my car to temporize until a higher level of care arrives. I trained with cops as a civilian healthcare worker, and they can provide immediate medical care along with traffic control and directing arriving resources. And they’re damned good at it. I have seen occasions where individuals survived or avoided more serious injury becaus the cops showed up first.

Call 911 and let them direct the nearest resources. Calling 911 IS calling an ambulance. What is actually stupid is stating that all police officers are capable of doing is arresting and shooting. And, boy, is that STUPID!

I’m waiting to hear from witnesses that seen what had happened. Why did they collide?, Was the truck in his lane? Was there speeding involved and passing? Was the truck driver being aggressive or under the influence? Why write up a “Story” if you can’t provide some details.
