This past weekend was a busy one for the Border Patrol agents at the U.S.-Mexico line.
28-year-old Mexican national Juan Hernandez-Arnas slipped across the border Friday night near Lukeville, southwest of Phoenix. Watchful agents caught him and discovered that he already had quite a record in the U.S.
According to a U.S. Customs and Border Protection report, Hernandez-Arnas had been sentenced in 2012 to six years in prison for “Lewd or Lascivious Acts with a Child under 14 years old” in Bakersfield, California.
Definitely not the kind of guy you want wandering undocumented around your country.
The next day, agents south of Tucson, Arizona nabbed Yelson Banegas-Barahona, 26. He’d also been sentenced for a sex offense against a child, landing him a five-year jail term after his 2010 crime in Roswell, Georgia.
Then that same day in a similar area west of Nogales, Arizona, the Border Patrol caught a whole group of illegal aliens coming across the border, Tucson News Now reported. Three of the people captured had been previously caught and deported before making another attempt to illegally enter the U.S. again.
But it was the fourth illegal border crosser that really caught agents’ attention.
Border Patrol discovered that 35-year-old Reyes Guzman-Umanzor is part of the extremely dangerous MS-13 street gang. Guzman-Umanzor has previously been in trouble in the U.S. for illegal entry, drug possession, and driving under the influence.
The multinational MS-13 gang is known for mass murders, brutal stabbings, drug and firearms trafficking, racketeering, child prostitution, and vengeful assassinations as well as raping and torturing their victims.
Just this week, an MS-13 member joined three others in pleading guilty to hacking a man to death so brutally that authorities had to use his DNA to identify him, Fox 32 Chicago reported.

All that is why President Trump has referred to MS-13 gang members as “animals” — something Democrat leaders took great offense to — and said better border security would help stem the flow of MS-13 activity across our border.
“Frankly, I don’t think the term that the president used was strong enough,” White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said back in May. “MS-13 has done heinous acts.”
She continued, “It took an animal to stab a man a hundred times and decapitate him and rip his heart out. It took an animal to beat a woman they were sex trafficking with a bat 28 times, indenting part of her body. And it took an animal to kidnap, drug, and rape a 14-year-old Houston girl.”
“Frankly, I think the term ‘animal’ doesn’t go far enough,” she reiterated. “I think that the president should continue to use his platform and everything he can do under the law to stop these types of horrible, horrible disgusting people.”
