Breaking: DOJ Announces New Action In Epstein Suicide Investigation

The Department of Justice (DOJ) announced on Tuesday that the warden in charge of the federal prison where accused child sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein committed suicide has been temporarily reassigned and two corrections officers have been placed on administrative leave.

“Today, the Attorney General directed the Bureau of Prisons to temporarily assign the warden at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York to the Bureau’s Northeast Regional Office pending the outcome of the FBI and OIG investigations into the apparent suicide of Jeffrey Epstein, a former MCC inmate,” DOJ spokesperson Kerri Kupec said. “FCI Otisville Warden James Petrucci has been named Acting Warden of the MCC New York. The Bureau of Prisons also placed on administrative leave two MCC staff assigned to Mr. Epstein’s unit pending the outcome of the investigations. Additional actions may be taken as the circumstances warrant.”

The announcement comes after Epstein reportedly committed suicide in his jail cell early on Saturday morning after he was taken off of suicide watch late last month and his cellmate was transferred out of the cell just hours prior to the infamous financier’s death.

CBS News reported: “On the morning of Jeffrey Epstein’s death there was shouting and shrieking from his jail cell, a source familiar with the situation told CBS News. Corrections officers attempted to revive him while saying ‘breath, Epstein, breath.'”

The New York Post reported on Monday that Epstein “apparently killed himself by kneeling toward the floor and strangling himself with the makeshift noose.”

Following Epstein’s death, Attorney General William Barr released the following statement: “I was appalled to learn that Jeffrey Epstein was found dead early this morning from an apparent suicide while in federal custody. Mr. Epstein’s death raises serious questions that must be answered. In addition to the FBI’s investigation, I have consulted with the Inspector General who is opening an investigation into the circumstances of Mr. Epstein’s death.”

Fox News reported on Monday that socialite Ghislaine Maxwell is now likely to be the focus of federal prosecutors, who alleged that she was “the ‘madam’ and ‘recruiter’ who supplied underage girls to alleged sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein and who’s accused of engaging in assaults alongside the disgraced — and deceased — financier.”

“Several of Epstein’s accusers have pointed to Maxwell as playing a pivotal role in enlisting his victims, according to thousands of pages of court documents unsealed on Friday — just hours before Epstein reportedly used his bedsheet to hang himself from a prison bunk — in relation to a 2015 defamation suit filed against Maxwell,” Fox News added. “Those who say they’re victims of Epstein and other eyewitnesses to the events surrounding his alleged crimes, have testified Maxwell’s role was in arranging massages and sexual favors for Epstein and a circle of his high-profile associates.”

A version of this story appears on the Daily Wire website.

I say demote the warden & transfer others to other prisons, Examine policies & protocols

  • Bill says:

Well, if there was screaming and shouting coming from Epstein’s cell that OBVIOUSLY means he was killed. If you’re going to commit suicide, one’s not going to be yelling for help!!!! Duh.

    • D. Thorn says:

Although I don’t believe it was suicide either, the “shrieking and shouting” was apparently done by the one(s) who found him dead, not by Epstein himself.

  • Sparky says:

You know if there was screaming coming from his cell he did not commit suicide. I hope more is done than moving someone to a different job or suspending them for awhile. This was one of the most important take downs of all time in the US. I smell so much fish in what happened. Really stinky!

    • Mateo says:

Very difficult to scream when u cant breathe

    • Pocono says:

They say he leaned forward and hung himself. That’s b.s. A person gets up to a certain point and will pass out, not die. He would have to be perfectly balanced for strangling to continue. He definitely had help.

      • Ruth says:

ORRR, the body of a look alike was put in the cell and Epstein is walking free somewhere. Money can buy a lot of things, including malfunctioning cameras and freedom.

Now the Warren has time to plan what to do later with his fat offshore bank account once the waters get calmed.

  • Ken Beck says:

“Leaning towards the floor”,, who the hell kills themselves like that? How dumb do these Elites think we are?

  • meme says:

Committed suicide on his knees… I have a feeling that someone working in that place got paid to do this and I also can’t believe the Medical Examiner can’t see the sheet marks around his neck. Why? did they move his cell mate all of a sudden so he cold be killed? None of this makes any sense whatsoever… Those victims needed him in the courtroom to listen to what they had to say to him and the Justice system let them down just like they let ALL Americans down on this Trump/Russia deal so far… Comey & McCabe let off… Bull crap….

  • War Dog says:

I just pray this IS NOT just Smoke and Mirrors. We will only be able to tell IF, and when, Indictments and Arrests start to happen. Until then, the Justice Department has lost most of its credibility with the American People. The Deep State has run amok of the Law, unchecked for far too long.!!

  • Joe says:

I’m praying for those girls who are the witnesses. The Clintons and the other big wigs aren’t done with their murdering.

    • Madeleine says:

Remove the Clintons and all form of communications. They know how to make a phone call and get a dirty job done. Many mafia friends

  • neo says:

So….the two officers get leave with pay….almost like a vacation or a payment for services received…And the warden gets reassigned somewhere else where another prisoner that they deemed a threat to the elites may get suicided….

  • chris says:

No one has mentioned anything about a will, or what will happened to his corrupt fortunate, no doubt mostly the proceeds of blackmail.

  • Jamie says:

Epstein needed 3 nuts a day. Maybe he got carried away with a little auto erotic asphyxiation.

  • Ruth says:

Where is the proof he is dead? Stranger things have happened than a body in the morgue disappearing.

  • Gene says:

Good for Attorney General William Barr, without him, I doubt that an honest and thorough investigation would have ever taken place. He is the best AJ that America has ever had, next to Eric Holder that is, just kidding, I wanted to see if you were paying attention, LOL.

  • DADDY K says:

Hey Barr. Epstein is dead!!! We want to see Hillary, Comey, and the rest of the corrupt FBI in prison. FIRST THINGS FIRST.

  • William Glenn Munson says:

It was all setup maybe tell the main guards to not come to work replace with yours and they would know what was going to happen to and take cameras down and move them or take tapes out too and I knew it was going to happen too and maybe they move him somewhere for the guy on the gunney is not him I posted it look at it and you can see not him period they think We the people are Stupid like them Democrats too

  • Madeleine says:

Maybe now everyone can understand why no evil people in Congress and Washington in general have not been put away! The DOJ was infiltrated by Obama, Clinton. Soros plants! Once these corrupt lawyers and judges are removed (if possible) and genuine ones brought in, its going to be frustrating. Comeys daughter should recuse herself.

    President Donald J. Trump
HUMAN TRAFFICKING IS AN AFFRONT TO HUMAN DIGNITY: With millions affected worldwide, human trafficking is a global atrocity that deprives millions of their universal human rights.
Human trafficking, also known as modern slavery, affects people from all backgrounds at home and abroad, placing millions into a sickening form of exploitation.
Per the International Labor Organization, there may be as many as 24.9 million victims of forced labor across the world, with millions going unidentified and unseen.
Children are especially vulnerable to this evil practice, as they account for 25 percent of modern slaves.
Victims are compelled to perform labor or commercial sex acts through the use of fraud, force, or coercion, reducing the value of human lives to that of mere commodities.

OK, next let’s ask Jizlane! Jizlane, oh Jislane! Anyone seen Jizlane?!
