CNN Analyst Blasts Radio Host’s ‘White Privilege,’ Learns He’s Black Live On-Air

CNN analyst Areva Martin accused SiriusXM radio host and Fox News commentator David Webb of exercising his “white privilege” during a radio interview on Tuesday.

Webb responded by calmly reminding Martin that he is actually a black man.

“That’s a whole ‘nother long conversation about white privilege, the things that you have the privilege of doing, that people of color don’t have the privilege of,” Martin said.

‘Perplexed, Webb inquired, “How do I have the privilege of white privilege?”

“David… by virtue of being a white male you have white privilege,” the guest shot back.

That’s when Webb told his uninformed guest that he should have came better prepared for the debate, rather than relying on tired identify politics to avoid talking about the facts.

“Areva, I hate to break it to you, but you should’ve been better prepped. I’m black.”

After an awkward pause, Martin admitted that she was wrong.

“They gave me the wrong information,” she said, referring to her team.

“That’s actually insulting,” Webb shot back.

“It is, and I apologize because my people gave me wrong information,” she said.

Listen to the jaw-dropping exchange below:

Political Twitter was left speechless by the liberal’s ignorance on her interviewer’s own race. Martin also exposed how shallow the strategy behind identity politics really is.

Is anyone surprised that Martin works for CNN?

I love this. Just shows how uninformed the Liberals usually are while making their accusations and so on.

That woman is racist and should be fired! He destroyed her Masterfully!

First, if this situation were reversed the MSM would have been running with it nonstop. What are we hearing now? Crickets… Second, she actually threw her staff under the bus which I felt was an eve lower blow than what she did calling him out on “white privilege.” Third, moral of the story…if you want your name in lights check out facts you plan to interview someone about.

She most certainly “ass-u-me-d” he was white simply because of the company he works for. No one could have set this up any better and I thought he handled the situation beautifully. Didn’t rub it in, simply told her the facts she never “fact checked” beforehand.

  • Mary Tsuchie says:

And this is what the liberals always do…blame someone else for their lapse in judgment or lack of researching the facts. She is lower than the low for throwing her team under the bus. If I were part of her team, I would most certainly walk out on this uninformed cow and leave her to her own ruination. That’s all.
