Colin Kaepernick’s Girlfriend Goes Nuclear on Jay-Z for Partnering with the NFL

Colin Kapernick’s girlfriend, Nessa Diab, blasted Jay-Z for his new partnership with the NFL, branding the action “disgusting and disappointing.”

On Wednesday, the NFL launched a multiyear partnership with Jay Z’s entertainment company, Roc Nation. The entities plan to work together on the NFL’s live game experience and Super Bowl halftime shows while incorporating social justice efforts.

In a Thursday Instagram post, Diab defended her man and blasted Jay-Z for the pairing.

“We will never turn our backs on @kaepernick7 because your idols decided to work with the same organization that is actively keeping Colin unemployed all because he peacefully protested against social injustice in black and brown communities, specifically police brutality,” she wrote in the post, which has received more than 32,000 views at the time of this writing.

She went on to specifically point the finger at Jay-Z and the NFL, lambasting them for “[uttering] social justice in their partnership” while her boyfriend remains unemployed.

“So really, how can Jay-Z and the NFL utter social justice in their partnership while keeping Colin unemployed because of his social justice work?” she asked. “It’s typical for the NFL to buy different PR looks to cover up their dirt-that’s nothing new. But what is disgusting and disappointing is Jay-Z let them use him.”

Diab added that she doesn’t “doubt” Jay-Z’s intelligence in partnering with the NFL, she is disappointed over “disingenuous moves.”

“Whether Jay-Z knew it or not (I don’t doubt his intelligence-so I would think he knew) he helped the NFL bury who he said is an iconic figure, Colin Kaepernick,” she continued. “Don’t tell me there’s a ‘master plan and wait for it’ because the ONLY reason anything would ever change is because THE PEOPLE are loud and clear and won’t let the league buy their loyalty with their disingenuous moves.”

She concluded, “The people are letting the league and anyone who works with them know that they aren’t buying the bs. Thank you all so much for showing Colin so much support and love. I know for myself, I can’t thank y’all enough for loving my family.”

Following backlash of the initial announcement, Jay-Z, whose given name is Shawn Carter, spoke out at a Wednesday night news conference.

“We forget that Colin’s whole thing was to bring attention to social injustice,” Carter said in prepared remarks. “In that case, this is a success. This is the next phase. There are two parts of protesting. You go outside and you protest, and then the company or the individual says, ‘I hear you. What do we do next?’

“For me, it’s like an actionable item, what are we gonna do with it?” he continued. “Everyone heard, we hear what you’re saying, and everybody knows I agree with what you’re saying [in Kaepernick’s underlying message]. So what are we gonna do? You know what I’m saying? [Help] millions and millions of people, or we get stuck on Colin not having a job.”

The partnership between the NFL and Roc Nation will serve to “enhance the NFL’s live game experiences and to amplify the league’s social justice efforts,” according to a news release.

Colin’s last 2 years were horrible. That is the reason he is not playing as he demands superstar pay.

Wonder if she would be so stoked on colon I’d correct the grammatic error but I think Colon fits him better than Colin ever could. I digress I wonder if he was some broke dude who went broke of she would still be so enthused about his “cause” of “Injustices” by the police against the “innocent black and brown people”. Last time I checked not a single person on the planet was actually black besides charred corpses as far as I’ve ever seen. Also I don’t see why your skin pigmentation should dictate the victim status of a person. I’d you’re a victim you’re a victim regardless of gender race or religion right?

    • Lee Price says:

Amen, Amen, Amen! You are so correct! Being a victim has NOTHING to do skin pigmentation, gender, race, or religion!!!
      Done!

Nessa Diab your boy colin is a disgrace to everyone in America. I have no problem with him protesting for his reasons but not at the cost of the AMERICAN FLAG that so many of our vets fought and died for and our National Anthem You can’t blame Jay Z joining up with the NFL just like colin did with nike which offends me and others. He was never a great QB just average. Maybe he should go play Canadian Football if they would want him
