Who do you think won Tuesday night’s border battle?
Democrats issued a bizarre and uncomfortable response to President Donald Trump’s primetime border wall address on Tuesday night, claiming that the border crisis represents no threat to America.
At one point, House Majority Leader Nancy Pelosi falsely suggested the only illegal immigrants trying to enter the country are “women and children.”
“The fact is, the women and children at the border are not a threat. They are a humanitarian challenge,” Pelosi said.
Pelosi also claimed that Trump pushed “misinformation” and “malice,” though she, of course, didn’t offer any examples.
“Sadly, much of what we have heard from President Trump throughout this senseless shutdown has been full of misinformation and even malice,” she said. “The President has chosen fear. We want to start with the facts.”

Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) echoed many of the same overused talking points.
“Most presidents have used Oval Office addresses for noble purposes,” he said. “This president just used the backdrop of the Oval Office to manufacture a crisis, stoke fear, and divert attention from the turmoil in his administration.”
Frankly, I thought Trump was a little stiff. And that nose sniffing thing was awful. Annnnnnnd then Schumer and Pelosi rolled out this disaster that has taken over the narrative. All Democrats have to do is not be insane. And they can’t do it. #TrumpAddress pic.twitter.com/7HkCIFJdR8

The body language of this Schumer-Pelosi tag-team super uncomfortable. They should start thumb wrestling.

During his address, President Trump made the case that Americans want a border wall, not because they hate those on the outside, but because they love those on the inside.
“Some have suggested a barrier is immoral,” Trump said from the Oval Office. “Then why do wealthy politicians build walls, fences, and gates around their homes?”
He continued: “They don’t build walls because they hate the people on the outside, but because they love the people on the inside.”
