Sarah Sanders Has Had Enough, Fires Back At Ann Coulter

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders fired back at conservative commentator Ann Coulter after Coulter trashed President Donald Trump on Friday.

Coulter supported Trump in 2016, but has criticized the president for not getting a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border built.  As reported by The Western Journal, her incendiary commentary peaked again Friday when Trump announced he was declaring a national emergency to build the wall.

Sanders went on Fox News later and was asked by host Dana Perino about the influence of Coulter and other conservative media voices — a subject that had been raised earlier in the day during the president’s question-and-answer session with the media.

“I don’t think Ann Coulter has any influence over this White House, or influence over much of anything to be honest,” Sanders said. “I don’t think she did before the president became the president, and I don’t think she does now. I just don’t see her as being an influential voice in this country, and certainly not one in this building.”

Coulter riposted with a tweet.

“Correct — and I want it memorialized. Nor did I have any influence on the captain of the Titanic, the operators of the Hindenburg or the 9/11/2001 Terrorism Prevention Team,” she wrote.

The Twitter scrum soon drew in other voices.

Earlier Friday, Trump was asked by one reporter how much “outside conservative voices” had influenced his decision to declare the emergency.

Trump praised Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham and Tucker Carlson of Fox News and conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh. He gave Coulter more extensive discussion.

“They don’t decide policy. In fact, if I went opposite — I mean, they have somebody — Ann Coulter. I don’t know her. I hardly know her. I haven’t spoken to her in way over a year. But the press loves saying ‘Ann Coulter.’ Probably, if I did speak to her, she’d be very nice. I just don’t have the time to speak to her. I would speak to her; I have nothing against her,” Trump said.

Trump them explained the only reason he liked Coulter.

“In fact, I like her for one reason: When they asked her, like right at the beginning, who was going to win the election, she said, ‘Donald Trump,’” the president said. “And the two people that asked her that question smiled. They said, ‘You’re kidding, aren’t you?’ ‘Nope. Donald Trump.’”

Trump then tried to sum up his relationship with Coulter.

“So I like her, but she’s off the reservation. But anybody that knows her understands that. But I haven’t spoken to her. I don’t follow her. I don’t talk to her. But the press loves to bring up the name ‘Ann Coulter.’ And you know what? I think she’s fine. I think she’s good. But I just don’t speak to her,” he said, according to a White House media pool report.

Ann Coulter has lost credibility in the Republican Party. Why should Trump care about her opinion? He is a Billionaire and President, and all she can do is spout her nasty opinion here and there.

Ann’s peeing on herself. Don’t get me wrong, I like watching that on a porn channel, but I thought she was a cut above that. Ann, I own your books, read your columns, and believe you are a God, but WTF here lately? Would you have preferred Hillbilly?

Ann, you are out of line. Normally I agree with you but your fire directed toward Trump is pointed at the wrong person. Go after the dumb ass Democrats–Pelosi, Schumer, OC-the idiot youngster. She alone should give you enough ammunition for many comments and columns. Don’t forget the idiot politicians from Ca. The new guy who wants to nuke us. At this point you probably should lay off Trump. I love what he is doing. Normally a fan of yours but not with your current comments.

Ann Coulter’s observations/comments have almost always been incendiary and flamatory… to what end only she knows…certainly not conciliatory or calculated to
resolve a conflict or difference of interests/conflicts. Giving her a platform is to supply her with box of matches and several gallons of gasoline, then stand back. She like some others, has to understand her value lies in moderate advice….she is NOT the President.

And here lies the basis of our problems as conservatives…..as a group, we do not stick together and support each other. Look on the other side of the aisle and no matter what, they do stick together. That’s something we could most certainly learn from the left. That’s all.

Proud of you Sarah as always you have a way with the words and putting people in their place .. Your right Ann is NOT the president and she is not running the white house .. She thinks she knows what is going on but like others she’s in the dark and don’t realize the true situation and is just all mouth .. The president cares for the people of this country even the idiots and he knows we are at risk even when others don’t .. I’m with our president 100%

I used to like Ann Coulter, but now it seems like she’s hanging by a thread. It might help if she ate something occasionally. Has she no concept as to how much trouble our president has getting ANYTHING he wants done? She’s like a spoiled child having a tantrum!

I am hoping that Ann gets some medical attention – its pretty obvious to me that she may have fell and hit her head because she is clearly not like she used to be – sensible. She appears to just be spouting non-sense anymore.

Ann Coulter is conservative ONLY when she has a new book on the market. Otherwise she is a snake in the grass wearing multiple colors of skin who seems to hibernate an awful lot with snake in the grass Bill Mahar.

In theory and sarcastic wit, there is none better than Ann Coulter. She writes some well researched and well received conservative books. Trump is a businessman who does not want to see his life’s work go up in smoke so he took over the helm, makes decisions on the spot, but always is attempting to save the country from stupid lawmakers. Trump is a LEADER. If you have a General who is afraid to make a decision, he is not much of a General. Trump has been portrayed as a lot of things but he gets stuff done inspite of what Democrats throw at him and obstruct him with. So I will buy Ann’s books but support Trump with my prayers.
